I started creating copper artworks back in 2009. I like to mimc nature’s gifts and add a little twist so my pieces play on people’s hearts.
I want my pieces to relate, to take that moment and to plant the point of interest into your home. For it to have an appreciated eye as you pass it.
It’s a patient art, each piece has hours of thought with some pieces taking as long as a year or more to complete. They are all hand cut, brazed, soldered and lacquered. Many constructed by a pair of tweezers.
Copper is very malleable & is such a great media to work with, the Autumn colourations that form from the flames bring the art works to life.
I like to use recycled copper as much as possible & enjoy transforming what once was into something that evokes the eye and captures the mind.
